We started this series with the book "The Color Monster" by Anna Llenas. This story helps young children identify and organize their emotions, making it an excellent tool for talking to children about feelings in a playful and creative way.
At the "Little Pirates" daycare, we explored this book and learned that feelings can have many colors. With the magic bottles, we shook, observed, and discovered each emotion.
Then, with the spray bottles, we spread the colors of the monsters, in an activity full of movement and creativity.
Among sensory experiences and lots of fun, we realized that talking about what we feel is important. Recognizing emotions helps us understand ourselves better, express what's inside, and grow with more confidence and empathy.
Learning about feelings can also be fun, colorful, and full of meaning…
Throughout this series, we will share not only the stories, but also tips and suggestions so that you can replicate these experiences at home, promoting moments of sharing, fun, and learning as a family.
